The TSR II was designated to carry torpedoes, bombs, depth charges, or aerial mines, and carry out dive-bombing attacks. The aircraft crashed while on a test flight from the Torpedo Trials Unit at Gosport, England, February 1935. However, the TSR II was rebuilt and flew the next year.
