| *On30 is O-Scale (1/48) Narrow gauge that runs on HO gauge track.
Incorporated in 1875, the tenacious Ohio River & Western Railway played a crucial role in the development of the southeast Ohio hill country it served. The narrow gauge OR & W survived for half a century through times of bust and boom, but its larger, standard gauge competitors proved to be too powerful for the railroad. The Pennsylvania Railroad purchased the OR & W in 1912, and its last train ran on Memorial Day, May 30, 1931
