GRDX = Grand River Dam Authority

The Grand River Dam Authority (GRDS) was created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1935 to be a "conservation and reclamation district for the waters of the Grand River". Part of this mission is to provide electric power within the district in northeastern Oklahoma. Most of GRDA's electric power is generated at the Coal Fired Complex near Choteau, OK on Union Pacific's former Missouri Pacific line. The CFC plant has two units rated at 505-megawatts each and burned over 4 million tons of Powder River coal in 2004. GRDA owns a fleet of 745 Bethgon Coalporters.
